We are proud to be a community partner with Seattle's Burke Museum in their Empowering Women exhibit, which examines the effects of the marketplace on the lives of women in developing countries. Burke has an impressive line up of speakers this fall to accompany the event, beginning with Macro on Micro this Wednesday, September 25th, at 7pm. The exhibit itself runs through October 27th. We will have a booth Saturday, September 14th at Taste of Lynwood on Bainbridge Island. The event, which features lots of tasty food, musical acts, and local vendors will run from 11am to 8pm (vendors will open for business from 11am to 6pm.) Oh, and there is a beer garden as well! This event has a real block party feel and is family friendly.
We'll have lots of fair trade baskets like the one pictured, felted soap, Palestinian olive oil, and more. Sarah and Kristi Anna will be holding down the fort at our Port Gamble store. We hope to see lots of happy faces at both locations.
